Culture & Heritage Trip Plan — Napak Tilas
Two days through Yogyakarta's cultural core: the Taman Sari water castle and the still-inhabited Sultan's Palace in the old city, and a full Prambanan morning at the ninth-century Hindu temple complex out in Sleman before departure.
Two days across two very different sides of Yogyakarta: the Taman Sari water castle and Kotagede's old silver workshops in the city centre, then the underground river cave of Goa Pindul and the HeHa Ocean View clifftop along the Gunungkidul coast.
Two family-friendly days in Yogyakarta: Gembira Loka Zoo and the lantern-lit night games of Alun-Alun Kidul in the old city, followed by a Merapi jeep run and the Bhumi Merapi petting farm up in Kaliurang.
Two romantic days for two: a guided walk through Ullen Sentalu Museum in the Kaliurang pine forest and lunch at Kopi Klotok amid the rice paddies, then the old silver lanes of Kotagede or the cafe-lined streets of Prawirotaman back in the city.
Two days and one night is the most popular duration — perfect for a weekend without using up long leave. You still get Yogyakarta's main destinations, one comfortable night's stay, and relaxed time for photos. Just pick the theme that fits you best, from the most aesthetic to the most romantic.
Where we operate
We run tours across Yogyakarta and around — from Borobudur and Merapi to the Gunungkidul beaches.
From around IDR 1,050,000 per person, including one night's stay, breakfast, transport, a driver-guide, and entry tickets for the main destinations — paid directly by the driver, so you don't need cash at every gate. The per-person price drops as the group grows, since the car and driver cost is shared. Hotel choice also shifts it — confirm the exact figure over WhatsApp, free and with no obligation to book.
What's the difference between the 2D1N packages?
Same duration, different direction: Napak Tilas focuses on the city centre and one temple — Taman Sari & the Palace on day one, a full morning at Prambanan on day two before departure (Borobudur is deliberately left out of the 2-day version — it takes too much time for this duration and fits better in the 3-day package). Segara heads down to the Gunungkidul coast — a morning at Goa Pindul and HeHa Ocean View, ideal if you've already seen the temples. Kulawarga follows a child's rhythm, with nap time built into the schedule. Renjana deliberately keeps stops few so each one gets real time. If none fits exactly, spots from different packages can be mixed through the custom planner on this page.
Can we build a fully custom trip plan?
Yes, and it's the most common route. The packages above are a starting point, not a fixed menu. Through the custom planner on this page you pick the group size, the kind of experience, and the spots you want — we sequence the route so time isn't lost on the road, then send the price estimate.
Where's the pickup — YIA Airport, Tugu Station, or the hotel?
The pickup point follows how you arrive. YIA Airport in Kulon Progo sits about 45 kilometers from the city center, so on a two-day trip we shape the route from the western side onward to keep your time off the road. Arriving by train, both Tugu Station and Lempuyangan Station are central and the most practical. The bus terminal or your hotel work as pickup points too.
What vehicle is used — Avanza, Innova, or HiAce?
It depends on the group. An Avanza for small groups up to four, an Innova for up to six with more legroom and luggage space, a HiAce for roughly ten to fourteen, and a bus for larger parties. All are air-conditioned, with fuel, parking, and a driver who doubles as your guide included. Tell us the exact headcount during the chat so we match the right unit — on overnight packages we factor luggage space in too.
Which area is the accommodation in?
Accommodation is matched to the package you take, what you need, and availability on your dates — the class can run from a comfortable guesthouse to a 4 or 5-star hotel. The most common areas: around Malioboro if you want late-night food and shopping nearby, Prawirotaman for a quieter feel, or the Sleman side if your route leans toward Merapi and Prambanan. Tell us your preference during the chat and we'll find the best fit.
Who is the 2D1N package for?
Best for a weekend getaway without burning long leave: honeymooners, small families, or a group of friends wanting Yogyakarta's highlights plus one relaxed night. Two days cover two directions — say, north into Sleman then south to the Bantul coast — without feeling rushed.
Which spots can we visit?
Two days work best focused on two directions so you aren't crossing the city repeatedly. The most requested spots include Prambanan and Ullen Sentalu in Sleman, Goa Pindul and HeHa Ocean View on the Gunungkidul coast, and Gembira Loka and Taman Pintar for groups with kids. Adding Borobudur in Magelang Regency takes most of a day, so it's better chosen in place of one direction — or take the 3-day package, which already has a full slot for it.
Is this tour private?
Private. Only your group is in the car, never merged with strangers, and there's no shared departure schedule to chase. Start time, how long you linger at each spot, and the order of destinations all follow your pace.
We're from out of town — how should we get to Yogyakarta?
From Semarang, Solo, Malang, or Purwokerto, train and bus are still comfortable since the trip runs under eight hours. From Jakarta, Bandung, or Surabaya, an overnight train or a flight saves energy — which matters on a tight two-day trip. Tickets to Yogyakarta aren't included in the package, but we use your arrival time to sequence the route.
Does the price change during peak season?
It can shift during school holidays, year-end, and long national holidays, mostly because hotel rates rise. If your dates fall in those windows, we flag the difference upfront rather than after booking. Outside peak periods, the price we quote is the price you pay.
